Florence And The Machine is London-born Florence Welch and whomever she's surrounding herself with at the time.   Her debut album,  Lungs, is up for the Mercury Music Prize in the UK.   We've visited the latest UK single "Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)" on a couple of occasions recently, but today stepped back to the long-ago featured first single, "Kiss With A Fist", as it's the song that US audiences are being introduced to FATM through.   Here's a live take from last Spring's Camden Crawl:

The Horrors' debut record came out just before SXSW in 2007, and they made a splash as an interesting little goth-punk outfit from Essex.   Two and a half years later, critics are hailing their second album as a surprisingly great art-rock record.   We've previously featured taster track "Sea Within A Sea" from that follow-up, Primary Colors; today, check out the new US single from a newly-released mega-pack featuring some new songs--here's "Whole New Way", with no actual vid, but pretty good sound and a stylized look at the band:

Snow Patrol are back in Austin on 10/6, and will return with new music to play, as there are three new songs included in a 30 song career retrospective out the following month, called Up To Now. The leadoff single from the record, "Just Say Yes", is awash in electronics and has the distinction of being a Gary Lightbody-penned song that was originally recorded by Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls for her own solo project. It's safe to say that Snow Patrol makes the song unmistakably their own. There's no video to embed yet, but here's a listen.
