Dog Surgery

Dear Diary
I am bit of a worried foster mum this morning as my little foster dog, Princess Piglet, is having her surgery today. I say little, but she's a big 70+lb pit bull. Anyway, she's been running around on a broken leg for God knows how long, possibly a few years, so it's a good thing that she's finally going to get better. She's also having her womb removed so she can't have anymore puppies. The other day I noticed that she's got a what I like to call a 'meth tooth', and she may also be getting that removed if the doctor deems it necessary. So the wonderful Dr Vasanjee has his work cut out for him. As do I. I dropped Piggie off at Heart of Texas Vetinary Specialty in Round Rock last night and she'll have to stay there for another night tonight, so they can keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't have a bad reaction to the anesthetic. Then she's back home for SIX WEEKS of rest and rehabilitation. That's SIX WEEKS! I hope she'll be able to walk out side to poop OK. I know that at 58lbs I can carry my dog Blue, but for some reason at just 10-15lbs heavier, Piggie is a giant lump and even though I'm now a Crossfitter, I'm not sure I can handle her. Anyway, I guess I'll be playing nursemaid for a while so if there's anyone out there interested in adopting this sweet hopalong Piglet, the next few weeks will be a good time as we won't really be going anywhere...
