I'm Officially A Fan Of Against Me!

Dear Diary
 Last night I went to the Against Me! slash Silversun Pickups show with my boyfriend and a couple of friends of ours. I guess you could say that I'm not a particularly large fan of either band, but my bf's favourite band in the whole world is Against Me!, so we had to go. He was really excited about the show, as were his friends, who had come in from Arizona to see the bands. I was feeling like the weak link as I didn't really think I was going to have as great a time as everyone else, but I wanted my bf to have fun so I sucked it up. We headed over there after a lovely dinner at the new Uchiko, and just as we were walking up to Stubbs, we heard Against Me! already on, and I have to be honest, I got that little excited feeling, you know, the one where you're walking up to a venue where a band you like are playing and you want to hurry up cos you can hear a song you love? Well I had that! I was so surprised! I thought the food at Uchiko was going to be the highlight of my night! We got into Stubbs and immediately started fist pumping and singing along, and lo and behold, I realised I am in fact, an Against Me! fan! My bf and I were standing there, fist pumping, singing our hearts out and I got a little verklempt! I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but his little girl LOVES Against Me! and knows all the words so as the band are playing White Crosses, all we could think of was her! It was such a great moment, show and experience, now we want to take her to the next one. It'll make such an amazing first concert experience. Better than Jason's. Billy Ray Cyrus isn't quite as cool as Against Me!...
