I CAN'T HANDLE THE LOUD TALKING!

Dear Diary,
 There is something that's been driving me mad recently. I thought it was just me, maybe because I've not been well and my ears have been all blocked up, but I've had witnesses so I know I'm not being too sensitive. It's not like it's a new phenomenon or anything, but maybe it's going through a resurgence? I'm talking about Loud Talkers. Loud Talkers are people who for some reason or another do not operate on the same volume level as others in society. Loud Talkers will broadcast the most personal details as well as the most mundane everyday thoughts, so loud that even the dead can hear them. Loud Talkers use their cell phones to call their friends in different states to complain about their jobs, while they are at work driving a bus load of tourists back from their cruise. Yes! I'm talking about our driver from the Bud Light Cruise! He even got a ticket while we were on the bus! Loud Talkers will sit in the airport gate having an argument about 'trust' with their spouses while everyone else looks on incredulously. Cass witnessed that one and was even more amazed than me. Even this weekend with my boyfriend we were surrounded by Loud Talkers. At lunch at Wholefoods the other day there was one on each side of us. A male Loud Talker was trying to impress his obviously bored first date, with tales from Iraq and basically his whole life story. A Loud Talking UT student at the next table was on her phone regaling a friend with her amazing stories of NOTHING at the top of her voice. This particular Loud Talker also talked with a mouth full of food. I can't take it any more I tell you! How come they don't know how annoying they are?
